Larimar Silver Ring-Size 7

This hand-crafted ring holds a beautiful Larimar stone set in .999 Fine Silver. It measures about 1" long.  The back plate of the stone is hammered with a pattern to add some interest. The Sterling band has a floral pattern with square wire on either side. Size 7.
 
About the Stone: Because Larimar is a lovely blue color, some people confuse it with varieties of Turquoise. However, Larimar is considered one of the rarest minerals on planet Earth and this is because its ONLY known source is in one location - the Bahoruco Mountain Range, Dominican Republic. It was first given the name Travelina before it was renamed after the founder’s daughter, Larissa, blended with the Spanish word for the sea. It also goes by the name Blue Pectolite, Dolphin Stone, Atlantic Stone, and Setfilias Stone.
