Trapiche Amethyst Silver Pendant

“Trapiche” is a type of milling wheel used to process cane sugar. This gemstone was named after it because of the similarity of appearance between the spokes of the mill and the growth pattern of the gemstone's inclusions. True trapiches form where geothermal waters meet a carbonaceous host rock.  The Trapiche in this pendant is accompanied by a 4 mm sparkly faceted Amethyst set in a Sterling silver bezel.  The Trapiche amethyst is set in .999 Fine silver. The Trapiche stone's bezel is surrounded by a Sterling twist wire. The twist wire is carried through on the bail and the chain. The Sterling silver chain is 17".
