Nevada State Pendant-Nevada No 8 Turquoise

This hand-crafted pendant is made with .999 Fine silver that has been hand sawed into the shape of the State of Nevada.  The silver is hammered to add texture to the piece.  A beautiful piece of No. 8 mined turquoise is set in .999 Fine silver. The top of the pendant has a star that represents Battle Born, the State motto. The mountains were hand cut and textured with a patina applied to the silver above the mountains for definition.  The 24" chain is stainless steel.
 
The turquoise set in the pendant is from Nevada's Number 8 mine.  Number 8 turquoise is considered one of the great classic American turquoise mines.  The mine is in the Lynn Mining District in Eureka County, Nevada, just north of Carlin.
